Poor Brett

Brett plays in a soccer league after work. Sometimes, he plays goalie. In his most recent game, he broke a bone near his knuckle on his pinkie. This resulted in him needing a full blown cast for the next four weeks.

He is less than happy. I am bummed that he didn't get a white cast -- I wanted to sign it!!

I'm a very lucky lady

Here are two pictures of my new present:





Brett bought me a speedlite -- I'm not sure how he knew, but he bought me the exact one I wanted. I am so lucky! I hate using the pop-up flash. It creates harsh, unflattering shadows. Our apartment does not get great light and since we live in Oregon, we won't see the sun for a while. I am beyond excited.

And this last photo is just for fun. I think it's hilarious!

We've had a rough week...

Jack has been really sick. It's been so rough. Jack has never been super sick before so this was very new for us. These two photos show what a loving and nurturing dad Brett is. Jack is very lucky. Brett is so good at calming him down and helping him go back to sleep.
